One of the key challenges for the Programme was to comprehensively evaluate a multitude of different technology offerings in the market to meet both Objectives and Business Drivers.
The first step was to assess the strengths and weaknesses of each TMS product against a detailed list of requirements from the business structured as an RfI/RfP, and a conceptual target architecture provided by Covarius, to select the systems providing the best-fit for the organisation. Underpinned by Covarius' expert experience across multiple TMS platforms, HME was able to validate their findings and select accordingly.
One of the standout features of the TMS programme has been the extent to which an integrated and balanced team approach between HME and Covarius has allowed HME to achieving HME’s successful outcomes. HME took the lead in managing business change within business units and SSC. This included rollout of a SWIFT Alliance Lite2 infrastructure and capabilities within the SSC around this architecture at HME. Covarius took overall responsibility for the design, implementation, development, data conversion, interfaces, end-to-end Bank testing, testing and cutover transition for all SAP modules selected by HME.
